(SJCTHER)

Scope of the Journal

The SJCTHER, an official journal of the SunRise University, Rajasthan India, is a peer reviewed journal which aims to serve its readers as an authoritative resource on Multidisciplinary studies in higher education. The objective is to strengthen the academic research in higher education with research outcomes in the form of original research articles, reviews, monographs, clinical trials and case studies. 

Submission declaration and verification

Submission of an article to SJCTHER implies that the work described has not been published previously  that it is not under consideration for publication elsewhere, that its publication is approved by all authors and tacitly or explicitly by the responsible authorities where the work was carried out, and that, if accepted, it will not be published elsewhere in the same form, in any other language,including electronically without the written consent of the copyright-holder. 

Open access & Copyright

This journal publishes open access articles. All articles published Open Access will be immediately and permanently free for everyone to read and download. 

Submission of papers:

The SJCTHER invites papers that make a significant contribution to the knowledge in all areas of higher education. The following types of papers may be submitted. (i) Original Papers:  The original papers being submitted must consist of original research performed by the authors and the research must include new information that is of significance.

 (ii)  Reviews (up to 12 printed pages): Reviews covering recent discoveries or topics of current interest are generally invited.

Manuscripts must be written in English using Times font and typed in double-line spacing with3-cm margins; pages should be numbered. Authors whose first language is not English are urged to have their manuscript read by a colleague who is well versed with English language. Manuscripts with extensive English language deficiencies will be returned to the author without the full reviewing process

Please submit a manuscript along with the names,addresses and e-mail addresses of three potential referees. The manuscript be uploaded on the journal website. The article submitted,following primary screening by Editorial Board, will be forwarded to Editorial Secretary for further process.

Acceptance of papers will be decided by the Editorial Board after examination of reviewer views/comments by at least two referees. Manuscripts that require revision and/or correction and/or condensation will be returned to the authors with  reviewers’ and/Editorial board comments.

The manuscript should be arranged as follows:

Title page including an article title, name(s)of author(s), affiliation(s) and address(es) of the author(s), e-mail address,telephone and fax numbers of the corresponding author.

A short running title not exceeding 6-7 words may also be provided.

Abstract (250 words)

All manuscripts should (except reviews) have a structured abstract (of about 250 words) with subheadings of  Background & objectives,Methods, Results and Interpretation & conclusions. Abstract should be brief and indicate the scope and significant results of the paper. It should only highlight the principal findings and conclusions so that it can be used by abstracting services without modification.

Four to six keywords be provided below the abstract

Introduction: The manuscript should include introduction stating the purpose and objectives of the investigation

Methodology Section: This section should provide details of the study design. Detailed descriptions of materials and methodology adopted be given. However, only new procedures should be described in detail; previously published procedures should be in brief and any  significant  modifications of published procedures should be mentioned.

Results: Results should be presented concisely.

Discussion: Discussion should interpret the results explaining the significance of the outcome.Results/data  should not be repeated.  A combined Results and Discussion section is often appropriate. Discussion should be focused and should avoid discussion of published literature.

Conclusions: The outcome  of the study may be presented in a short Conclusions section.

References:

Please ensure that every reference cited in the text is also present in the reference list (and vice versa). Unpublished results and personal communications should not be included in reference list,but may be mentioned in the text. Citation of a reference as "in press"implies that the item has been accepted for publication.

Only published or accepted manuscripts should be included in the reference list. Abstracts, or papers that have been submitted but not yet accepted should not be listed out.

Text: All citations in the text should refer to:

1. Single author: the author's name (without initials, unless there is ambiguity) and the year of publication;

2. Two authors: Both authors' names and the year of publication;

 3. Four or more authors: First author's name followed by 'etal.' and the year of publication.
Groups of references should be listed first alphabetically, then chronologically.

 Examples:

• 'as demonstrated (Agarwal, 2013a, 2013b, 2012; Jain and Pradeep, 2015;

Sahoo, Parveen and Panda, 2007)

•  Subramanian et al., (2014)have recently shown ....'

References List:

References should be arranged first alphabetically and then further sorted chronologically if necessary. More than one reference from the same author(s) in the same year must be identified by the letters 'a', 'b', 'c', etc., placed after the year of publication.

Tables:

Tables must be numbered consecutively with arabic numerals. They should have a title.Footnotes to tables should be indicated by superscript lowercase letters explaining any abbreviation used in that table (orasterisks for significance values and other statistical data).

Figures:

All figures (photographs, graphs or diagrams) and tables should be cited in the text, and each should be numbered consecutively throughout with arabic numerals. Illustrations must be restricted to the minimum needed. Figure legends must be brief, self-sufficient explanations of the illustrations. All figures should be submitted as separate files and should not be integrated within the text.

Line drawings. Inscriptions should be legible,with initial capital letters and appropriately scaled to the size of the drawing. Scanned line drawings should be digitized with a resolution of 800 dpi relative to the final figure size.

Color illustrations should be saved as RGB (8 bits per channel) in TIFF format.

Publication ethics

The journal has zero tolerance to malpractice.Submitted articles may be checked for plagiarism. Where an article, for example, is found to have plagiarized other work or included third-party copyright material without permission or with insufficient acknowledgement, the Journal reserves the right to take appropriate action.

Please ensure the following before submitting the manuscript:

• The manuscript is 'spell checked' and' grammar checked'
• All references listed out in the Reference List are cited in the text, and vice versa
• Due Permission has been obtained for use of copyrighted material from other sources.
• A declaration stating ‘competing interests’  is provided.
